Andy Shaw Andy Shaw is Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University. Prior to LSU he was Resident Artist and the 2006-07 Evelyn Shapiro Foundation Fellow at The Clay Studio of Philadelphia.In 2000 he received the MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and in 1992 a BA History from Kenyon College in Ohio. In addition he studied at Penn State University, the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and worked as an apprentice at Basin Creek Pottery. Andy has taught at Gettysburg College, Alfred University, Arcadia University, Andrews University, and Baltimore Clayworks. His work has received multiple awards and been published in Ceramics Monthly, Studio Potter, Garth Clark’s Shards and most recently in Elevations, the magazine for Club Members of the Ritz Carlton and New Jersey Life. In July 2009 Andy will exhibit his work in Tableware: An International Collection in Sydney, Australia as part of the Australian Ceramics Triennale ‘09. |
