Cynthia Jones

Cynthia’s artistic affair began simply with her love of drawing. As an art student at Southern Connecticut State University, she discovered jewelry making and earned a B.S. in metalsmithing and jewelry. During a two-year apprenticeship with jeweler Dina Varano, the shapes that are now her signature began forming in Cynthia’s mind. Her first “Teardrop Series” inspired her to create subsequent collections that are an extension of that work. Her recent “Modern” series references the 1960s and 70s costume era of jewelry that especially resonates with the artist. Since 2006, the Cynthia has been designing and executing her handcrafted jewelry at her Santa Fe, NM studio.

The artist is always thinking about the relationship between form and function. Her passion lies in creating beautiful jewelry for women who can feel as though they are always wearing a piece of art that is handmade for them alone. She strives to create timelessly modern and sophisticated jewelry that is right for any occasion.
